Distributed Teams that Pop: Tips and Tricks to Develop Energy, Enthusiasm and Collaboration
Cindy Glaser, HomeFinder.com

About the Topic

Whether working with a test team in Baltimore, a development group in Bangalore, or a PM at the corner Starbucks, we are all increasingly required to work and interact in a distributed team environment. To the overall organization, this arrangement may be seen as a way to bring down the bottom line, offer greater flexibility and take advantage of a 24 hour work schedule, but it also carries high risk in terms of coordination, communication and successful project completion. This presentation will share best practices, tips and tricks for establishing and cultivating a successful distributed team by identifying specific issues and proven techniques to resolve them.

Key Learning Objectives

In this fun, interactive session, Cindy will address:
  • How to plan ahead so that distributed teams can get moving quickly
  • How to manage a distributed team and deal with specific issues relating to off-site workers
  • How to address communication issues between on-site and off-site workers
  • How to measure, report, correct, and learn from mistakes
  • ...and more!
