About the Topic

Talking through the things I've learned along my career journey (it's been winding -- from IC to leader to IC to leader back to IC and finally landing back at leadership). I'll be sharing what I've found someone needs to be willing to lean into when thinking about going into people-leadership.

Key Learning Objective

Understand the attributes you need to have (and be willing to lean into) in order to be a successful people leader.
Get an idea of things you may not be aware that are a part of a people leader's role (so. much. administrative. work!).
Talk through the benefits being a people leader can have (because I promise I'm not trying to scare anyone away from being a leader).

About the Speaker

Andrea Rhodes, Stitch Fix

Throughout my career I have gone from IC to leader multiple times - with lots of learnings along the way. It's led me to over 10 years of people management experience (with over five in engineering), and am now at Stitch Fix as Sr. Engineering Manager.
