Every single organization and team functions on three levels. What we do, How we do it and Why we do it. When all three pieces are aligned, it gives us a filter through which to make decisions and it provides a foundation for innovation. As technology takes the lead in testing, there is a tendency to assume that technology drives innovation. Is the fact that (What) we have automated x% of our testing automatically imply (How) innovation? How do we inspire our teams to think beyond What and How and to make the leap to where potentially true innovation remains untapped? Whether they realize it or not, those who inspire and innovate think, act and communicate similarly… and it’s the complete opposite from everyone else.
As the Global Test Management and Technologies Solutions leader, Xan Daniels has over 12 years of experience in HR Systems and testing. She held a number of progressively senior roles, and is currently the Global Practice Leader with teams in North America, Europe and India. It is her responsibility to define and develop the role of the testing function within Alight’s HR and Financial Solutions practice. Her primary objective is to deploy a robust and cost-effective testing framework that builds on best practices and can be leveraged across client deployments. Xan also co-leads Alight’s Global Diversity Council.
